Vice President, Data Center Services – Risk and Process Governance

Your background

  • Experience in Data Centre and/or critical facilities infrastructure
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Strong attention to detail, confident enough to raise questions and escalate when necessary
  • Competent working with spreadsheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong risk mindset with process and controls background
  • Capable of identifying where inefficiencies exist and simplify complexity of the workflows
  • Very strong time management skills and adaptability to address shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and respond to rapidly changing demands
  • Communicate and interface effectively with all levels of staff, management and Vendors
  • Ability to drive cross-divisional coordination and communication, influence and negotiate
  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs, and procedures

What you can expect

Responsible for components of analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for data gathering, reporting and coordination of responses. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert in Laws, Rules and Regulations in the Data Centre area; will be required to converse and present outputs to  differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will be expected to work within a virtual global Data Centre Services team to drive through value added additions to the internal risk tools that exist in the Data Centre Services area. Will be expected to work with Data Centre Services team, Corporate Workplace, Corporate Security and Co-location Vendors aligning enterprise direction into our standards that sit within the Infrastructure Management Policy. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

What you will do

  • Accountable for producing and validating Monthly and Quarterly metrics within scorecards and control grids
  • Hosting Locations Governance and Quality Control
  • Annual Execution of Facility and Proximity Risk Assessments
  • Annual Refresh of Data Centre Services Standards and Procedures
  • Working with various Teams including Vendor Management, Corporate Security and Corporate Workplace and Co-location Vendors
  • Ensuring Laws Rules and Regulations are being adhered to
  • Site Visits for Quality Assurance Purposes
  • Disk security database and technology waste collection requests
  • Data Center Risk Oversight Forum Presentations
  • Yearly / Quarterly Attestations
  • Internal and External Audit evidence
  • Risk Action Steps evidence (SIAI / AIAI)
  • Quality Assurance and Reporting
