DWO Testing Manager

Newark, Delaware;

Job Description:

The Operations Project Manager will lead/manage multiple various systems conversion/modification and collateral projects.  Daily responsibilities of this position is to determine sizing impact/skillset required for their designated project portfolio.  Directs and establishes overall testing approach/strategy and provides guidance and support to team.  Owns their portfolio health and reporting. Manages test functions for one or more lines of business.

  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of testing in support of initiatives including various conversions, modifications and BAU maintenance/break fix changes
  • Lead efforts around test strategy/planning and execution including reviewing changes across various collateral types and data sources
  • Author test plan, scripts and gather approvals
  • Procure test data, data prep and conditioning of accounts
  • Manage resource plan, secure resources, lead test execution, track business completion, log and track defect remediation of test scripts and document results
  • Escalate and clear obstacles/impediments for successful test delivery
  • Track post production validation script execution and business certification to confirm that initiative requirements and user expectations have been met
  • Complete defect root cause trend analysis, remediation, lessons learned to improve in upcoming releases. Document best practices to be adopted going forward to prevent issues from reoccurring in future releases

Required skills:

  • Lead process improvement assessments  to improve testing
  • Directs and establishes overall testing approach/strategy 
  • Prefer 3+ years experience with: JIRA, Application Life Management (ALM), defect management and tracking, SQL Server Studio and data analytical skills, XML data files
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with letter development
  • Home Loans, Consumer Card, Deposit Products and bank communication methodologies and platforms.
  • Project management and business/technical experience
  • Establishes testing standards and procedures
  • Directs and establishes overall testing approach/strategy
  • Test plan/scripts, test execution, reporting

  • Ability to navigate enterprise, research and resource information across the bank
