GWIM Sr. Operations Analyst - Quality Assurance

Job Description:

The Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for quality assurance functions that reduce risk and provide necessary separation of duties across Cost Basis Processing & Support, to ensure that all activity is done accurately and timely.  The position will work closely with Cost Basis Leadership to maintain clear line of sight, ensure appropriate controls are in place to ensure we are meeting our requirements and maintaining a strong control environment.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform Quality Assurance over tax lot updates made by both the Cost Basis Processing & Support teams

  • Provide concise & timely formalized feedback to leaders on errors, citing opportunities for improvement

  • Compile daily QA SLA’s (# of items reviewed vs. fails)

  • Track previously reported errors to ensure remediation

  • Provide monthly dashboards hi-lighting trends and areas of opportunities

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years of experience

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Analytical ability and problem solving skills 

  • Ability to multi task and prioritize

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, escalate issues as needed

  • Willingness to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Ability to navigate a complex organization

  • MS Office Proficient

Desired Skills:

  • College degree strongly preferred

  • Understanding of rules and regulations governing Cost Basis 

  • Understanding of Corporate Action events such as: Stock Dividends, Spin-offs, Exchanges and Return of Capital

  • Familiar with Client Monthly Statements

  • Track record of building strong partnerships both in and outside of line of business

Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.
