Talent Acquisition Consultant – Global Banking lines of Business

What you can expect

The Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) Talent Acquisition team oversee all lateral hiring into our Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Global Transaction Service (GTS) and Banking and Markets AML lines of Business.

This is a high impact role supporting a fast paced organization with focus on supporting lateral hiring (all levels) across the Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, GTS and Banking and Markets AML businesses.

The role entails partnering with business leaders and their hiring managers to help formulate sourcing strategies for all hiring across their business, track progress through the year against that plan, manage, execute and be responsible for all hiring approvals of internal, international transfers and external lateral hires. In addition this position will provide key partnership to the business and global stakeholders in order to proactively review and define the Diversity and Inclusion agenda and develop strategies to meet short and long term goals.

What you will do

The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be responsible for the end to end recruitment cycle. To deliver this, the successful candidate will:

  • Partner with the business to provide both consultative and transactional recruitment support to deliver end-to-end talent acquisition

  • Partner closely with colleagues within HR Generalist teams as well as Compensation & Benefits, Onboarding, L&LD and Mobility

  • Provide regular market information from internal and external sources.  Advising clients of competitor activity, availability of talent, salary trends and hiring best practice

  • Ensure that the right candidates are recruited in a timely and cost effective manner

  • Ownership and efficient execution of the new hire approval process working closely with the US colleagues

  • Search firm relationship management, including performance monitoring and governance.

  • Help to drive enterprise diversity goals and promote internal mobility

  • Actively manage risk around selection decisions, interview panels, hiring restrictions, and compensation decisions

  • Provide accurate real time reporting on open positions and progress against the hiring plan

  • Partner with country recruiters on LOB hiring plans, changes and ensure they are updated about LOB expectations around hiring.

  • Supports TA Manager/lead with administrative and adhoc projects as needed.

Your background 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent experience

  • Previous recruitment experience and stakeholder management across revenue generating businesses.

  • Strong client management skills and proven ability to develop credible relationships with both hiring managers and HR colleagues

  • Outstanding communication skills and proactive approach to stakeholder management and status reporting

  • Ability to prioritize in a highly pressurized environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and take pride in accurate and timely completion of tasks

  • Open, accountable and collaborative in working style

  • Experience of working in a large global corporate environment

  • Experience Team player

  • Ability to build and develop connections and strong partnerships within the broader HR teams
