Job Description:

Key Responsibilities for Merchant Market Manager (MMM):

• Directly manages a team of Merchant Consultants

• Majority of their time will be spent working in the field with MCs meeting with clients and coaching associates

• Implements sales management routines to deliver payment processing solutions to small business clients

• Actively coaches MCs to drive aggressive goals

Required skills:

-3-5 years of successful management and leadership experience in leading a sales team in either financial services, payments industry or business to business sales where there is significant focus on client/relationship acquisition and management 

-3 years of proven success in consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals; models high ethical standards

-Strong coaching skills and proven track record of effective pipeline management

-Crisp communication and presentation skills, demonstrated confidence in tailoring messages horizontally and vertically in the organization

-Fosters collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, partners and the organization; strong influencing and conflict resolution skills

-executive presence

-Proven business acumen by working with Small Businesses to provide solutions and services to fit their financial needs 

-Experience working within the community to build and deepen relationships with community leaders; while cultivating and fostering an environment amongst the team to mirror like behaviors and involvement within the community

-Will require weekly market travel 

Desired skills:

-5-10 years of sales management and leadership experience in leading an outside sales team focused on business development in financial services or payments industry

-3-5 years of proven outside sales experience in either financial services, payments or business to business sales

-Ability to demonstrate examples of leading, motivating and developing a team in a services focused environment

-Experience working with Small Business owners

- Undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred or minimum of 7 years relevant work experience
