Job Description:

Leads a large project or multiple projects that are significant in scope and impact. Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results. Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of a technical environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates with Technology management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the support delivery process. employees in this job code do not manage people. Job Summary:

Associate will be task with application support level 2 support of application in the Global Markets developed on distributed platforms. The candidate will be responsible for handling service request, event and incident management for the supported application portfolio. The applicant would need to be able to engineer automation solution that will benefit the organization in order to reduce time spent and avoid manual tasks. Additional responsibility includes configuring and automating application deployments for various platforms using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools. The candidate will need strong presentation, verbal and written skills in order to document and provide knowledge session to the team members.

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years as a Production Support with a proven track record of designing, delivering solutions to solve for scalability, performance and stability in large scale mission critical applications
  • Operated in SRE and/or DevOps roles (Continuous Deployment, Application Deployment etc.)
  • Strong technical knowledge: AS 400 (GMI), Unix/Linux; Database (Oracle), Cognos,
  • Mandatory experience in one or more of the following: Python, Shell scripting / Bash, Perl etc.
  • Deliver engineering solutions that improve instrumentation, automate deployment, service orchestration and other aspects of production support to reduce the burden of manual work involved as systems and user volumes scale
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills with the willingness to see the investigation through to the end
  • Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • Ability to independently drive projects, track actions, prepare status reports and publish the challenges and successes to the stakeholders periodically

  • ITIL Service Operations – Incident, Problem, & Alert Management
  • Business communications related to technical issues
  • Geneos ITRS monitoring system – Setup, configuration and day-to-day usability
  • Scripting in Python 3 / Shell Scripting
  • Job scheduling / Batch Management
  • Manage production support for mission critical systems
  • Experience in CD/CI and DevOps Tools. Operational and hands-on knowledge on Splunk, ITRS, Ansible and other DevOps Tools
  • Experience in Futures & Options Clearing platform and related applications/vendor products
  • understanding of application production support day-to-day
  • understanding of modern, cloud centric architectures and DevOps principles, and prefer working in an agile team model
  • Ansible configuration and setup
  • Splunk Visualization Proficiency
