Job Title: Trade Surveillance Specialist

The Enterprise Independent Testing team currently have an opportunity for a Trade Surveillance Specialist to join their team in the Dublin office.

Responsibilities:

  • This role is accountable for accurate and timely test execution and/or supports operational and administrative initiative activities related to a Testing Functional area, specifically Insider Dealing,  including multiple stakeholders

  • Extensive interaction with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems

  • Daily responsibilities of the Testing Specialist II include execution of Insider Dealing test scripts (“procedures”), identifying and documenting defects and providing daily updates to test leads and manager(s), as needed.

  • Working closely with Risk, Compliance, and SMEs to conduct testing

  • Intermediate knowledge of Insider Dealing surveillance and system(s) of record required (Actimize and SMARTS).  This role may contribute and/or participate in multiple special projects

  • Daily interaction with senior Compliance members

The Team:

Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) is a centralised group within Global Risk Management responsible for independent testing of operational processes within the 8 lines of business and enterprise control functions at Bank of America to ensure the company is in compliance with laws, rules and regulations, and that risk and controls procedures are operating effectively.

The EMEA EIT team is part of the Global Surveillance Testing team within EIT, based in a number of locations in Ireland and the UK, focussing on market misconduct in Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Equities and Corporate Treasury. The Global Surveillance Testing team consists of approx. 100 surveillance associates dispersed over a number of countries, in addition there are around 80 associates supporting the surveillance program based in India.

Core Skills:

  • Proven Business & Functional Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Knowledge of trading business, markets and products, such as Equities, Commodities, Futures & Options, FX and Fixed Income.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment

  • Good understanding of trade surveillance related external laws, rules, regulations (such as EU 596/2014 Article 7 (Inside Information), 8 (Insider Dealing) and 12 (Market Manipulation) & Commission Delegate Regulation 2016/522 Annex (market manipulation, and Markets in Financial Instruments (MiFID II) - Directive 2014/65/EU), internal policies, standards and procedures (such as Market Conduct Risk Framework) and industry guidance

  • Experience of using surveillance tools, such as Actimize and SMARTS

  • Excellent interpersonal,  written and communication skills

  • Intellectual curiosity, anticipate risk and forward thinking
