Job Description

The Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across Global Markets Technology. The group works closely with the business and provides application support. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. MAPS has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.

The successful candidate will join a global team based in several locations whose primary focus will be on providing front line support for Collateral Applications related to Financing, Pledging, Securities Lending, Client Services and Reporting platforms for all of Asia.

The team operates from India and Dallas. The team provides technical and business support for the Collateral application users. The suite of applications handle collateral functions within GBAMT. Services include batch processing, user queries, application monitoring, autosys monitoring and weekend/holiday support

Responsibilities

  • Join a team responsible for providing a stable platform for the Collateral business and middle office globally with focus to users in the Asia Pacific region
  • Provide day-to-day application support to Collateral systems, which includes answering user queries, monitoring applications, reviewing and planning of system changes and server upgrades.
  • Interact closely with regional and global business users (client services and operations staff) and other groups in Technology to ensure issues are addressed and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Look across the entire production environment to aid continuous improvement with the state and supportability of production systems. 
  • Troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes and track issues to their completion.
  • Work closely with developers and business analysts who are not in the region to plan system rollout and application updates, provide feedback on production system performance, and investigate production problems and identify solutions.
  • Manage serious outages in production by interfacing among business, developers, infrastructure teams and management. Main tasks include: provide communication, take remedial actions to resolve outage, provide information to business to alleviate knock-on impact, work on post-mortem and follow-up actions for root cause identification, recurrence prevention, and any improvement in problem detection and resolution.
  • Candidates should be prepared to work out of normal business hours such as on weekends and attend night calls according to business needs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential production problems in all supporting systems and escalate them to relevant parties if necessary. Suggest improvements to existing processes for support both locally and globally

Requirements

  • Production support experience
  • Experience in Incident, Problem Management
  • Experience in L2 support
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Flexible to work in any shifts
  • Availability during emergency time.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the job failures as part of the Batch
  • Attend to requests and issues raised by the end users and other stake-holders within stipulated SLA.
  • Identify improvement opportunities - and driving the same to closure. 
  • Coordinate with all teams to keep the application up-to-date and healthy.
  • Adhere to bank of America policies, code of ethics and deliver services in accordance with bank policies at all times – while delivering production support services.
  • Coordinate with LOB managers, other ASD teams, local management, Downstream and Upstream teams to drive the various Bank of America standards

  • Education – Graduation - * BE/ B. Tech/ M. Tech/ MCA

  • Certifications If Any – ITL (Optional)

  • Experience Range – 8 to 12  years

  • Foundational skills – Autosys, Database SQL & Unix

  • Desired skills - * Python,  Shell scripts & ITRS

Week Day : 6.30 AM – 3.30 PM; 9:30 AM – 6.30am; 11.30 AM – 8.30 PM -  Regular and rotational shifts

Saturday and Sunday support: 6:30am to 3:30pm/10:30am-7:30pm – Regular and rotational shifts
