Ops Sr Analyst MKTS - Global Collateral Operations - Chicago, IL

LOB Specific Description:

This role will directly support the US Portfolio Reconciliation and Dispute Escalation functions, and requires knowledge of non-cleared OTC collateral operations or middle office operations. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide comprehensive support of day-to-day portfolio reconciliation and dispute escalation processes for the Americas while ensuring appropriate risk mitigation controls are followed. In addition, the ideal candidate will support ancillary initiative work geared toward developing and implementing innovative service solutions to meet clients’ needs globally. Deliveries and Responsibilities:

  • Daily escalations and support.
  • Managing client issues, meetings, or inquiries.
  • Responsible for weekly breaks meeting with senior manager.
  • Identify areas for improvement on client or business metrics.
  • Business as usual managerial support and back-up.
  • Meeting with internal business partners.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations support function for one or more operations product areas. Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills include: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and a basic understanding of and/or experience in financial service industry.   • A strong understanding of financial markets across Fixed Income and Derivative products.
  • An understanding of financial markets documentation (ISDA CSA, GMRA, MRA, etc.).
  • Past experience with operational processes as they relate to fixed income and derivative products.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Organizational skills with emphasis on the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Track record of working in detail oriented roles.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
