Job Description:

Daily processing review and sign-off of Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Actions in a timely manner whilst understanding and mitigating the risk associated with the role across several entities. Ensure all events are properly elected and reconciled. Face off with Trading/Stock Loan Desks across multiple Regions. Work to identify any gaps in the process and deliver solutions to close those gaps. Respond to written and verbal enquiries within required timelines and with a high degree of accuracy and support both Department wide and Firm wide initiatives.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Established critical thinking skills and the ability to manage messaging with situational awareness
  • Full understanding of reconciliation/breaks and the key controls in a production environment
  • Direct voluntary corporate actions experience supporting International Prime Brokerage and Global Custody Businesses
  • Thorough understanding of settlement cycle Reorg life events including dividends, proxy, class actions, and mandatory corporate actions
  • Prior leadership responsibilities over operations team and their day to day execution insuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Skilled at managing timely responses to internal and external stakeholder inquires providing excellent client service
  • Full understanding of upstream and downstream touch points of Asset Services in a Global Markets environment
  • Well versed in establishing controls and escalations in all end to end processes
  • Ability to translate operational process steps into well written and cohesive documented procedures and process flows
  • Risk and control mindset and ability to escalate timely to senior management
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external technology providers
  • Ability to manage to market sensitive processing timelines
  • Data driven decision making
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Understanding of the components of a high performance organization
