Sr. Financial Analyst- Finance Technology, Automation & Controls

Job Description:

The Consumer & Wealth Management Finance Technology, Automation and Controls (FTAC) team is part of the CFO organization and a critical workstream under the Consumer & WM COO within the broader Consumer & WM Finance Team.   The primary focus of our team is to drive efficiency across Consumer & WM Finance through the use of process automation and streamlining existing functions & to maintain an environment that effectively identifies, measures, monitors and controls risks associated with business activities.  Our team engages with CFO teams, multiple technology and enterprise partners and all teams within the organization, including the Reporting Analysis & Revenue Forecasting Horizontal, the COO team, GBS partners and the Business Financial Officers (BFOs) supporting ML Finance, Investment Solutions Finance, RPWS Finance, Private Bank Finance, and Merchant Services Finance. 

Specific Description

This role is responsible for driving continual Finance process efficiencies through automation, primarily utilizing emerging desktop tools such as Alteryx, FactSet, Tableau, and Workiva as well as optimizations within Excel using functionality such as PowerQuery and VBA.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Perform activities from gathering requirements and designing solutions, through developing code /reports, to testing and release
  • Review, assess current state and identify improvement opportunities and best practices recommendations
  • Business partner support & influence
  • Manage BAU processes to ensure appropriate SME coverage when required
  • Develop and support reporting applications as needed
  • Participate in various project initiatives including OpEx and business change projects

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance / Accounting preferred) and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of professional/demonstrated work experience within financial services industry
  • Proficiency with one or more emerging technology – Alteryx, Tableau, FactSet, Workiva
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of various Financial systems EPM/eLedger/BPC and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working across multiple groups within a large organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, research skills and the ability to triage and independently run through a series of  potential solutions
  • Proven business partnering experience / skills including the ability to interact, communicate and influence equally well within all levels of an organization
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
