Job Title: Rates Trade Control Analyst

Here in our Chester office, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the FDCO team. The
successful individual will be joining a dynamic, fast-paced team and will have
the opportunity to work alongside the Trading Desk.
 

Responsibilities:


will include but not limited to:

Work closely with the Trading Desk to support the Rates and Currencies business and perform Trade Control Responsibilities such as –

  • Trade Validation – Timely and accurate management of trade capture
    process to ensure all trades are booked according to terms of underlying
    agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications
  • Provide support to assigned trading desks – Support the Trading desk across all Middle-Office functions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ongoing Trade maintenance – Manage trade lifecycle events & perform trade amendments to correct incorrect positions.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks – Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (e.g. Cash, Collateral, Valuations, Documentation)
  • Production of daily reports – Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk, business partners and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail)
  • Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with MO Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Resolving client issues – Working with Sales and Client Management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Trade Unwind events - Manage trade unwind events such as Trioptima, working with Front office and P&L to execute successfully.
  • Resolve queries – Investigate any issues raised to the team, liaising with Front Office, Back Office and/or the client as necessary.

The Team:

The FDCO team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and
settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign
Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC)
derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

This team are responsible for performing a Trade Control function, supporting the Global Rates and Currencies business; demonstrating an understanding of products traded, including Interest Rate Swaps, Options, FRA’s, Caps, Floors, Cross Currency Swaps and FX. The team own the entire trade life-cycle of these trades, including (but not limited to): Trade Validation, Trade Maintenance, system reconciliation, client & management reporting and break resolution. This position will require the successful individual to share and communicate product and business knowledge with team members, as well as identify better ways of processing our functions.
