Job Description:

Summary:

Application developer for the ARC application in support of the SEC Rule 613 Consolidated Audit Trail regulation to create a new transaction data warehouse for regulatory reporting of transaction and post-trade activity.

Position Summary:

The resource will focus on the delivery of the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting of SEC Rule 613 Consolidated Audit Trail regulation, a multi-year regulation that runs through 2022. The regulation is complex and requires SME knowledge of equities trading business flows, orders and executions data linkage and regulatory reporting. The resource will assist in the capturing of data and creation on a new transaction data warehouse for trade events and post-trade events activity.​​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
  • Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
  • Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
  • Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
  • Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Automate manual release activities.
  • Mentor other Software Engineers and coach team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in JAVA development
  • Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Batch
  • HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap
  • JS Web Development such as Angular or React
  • Source code management Git/Bitbucket, and others.
  • Build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and others

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of build tools and processes like Maven, Ant and others
  • Experience in using RDBMS/SQL Familiarity and Exposure to Oracle and SQL Server
  • Openshift, Docker or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Testing methods and tools – Junit, Mockito and Karma
