Digital Channel Analytics - Data Engineer II

Job Description:

Position Summary

  • Data Engineers within the Digital Channel Analytics team work within an Agile team to deliver digital (web) analytics to our business partners.  The candidate will develop database routines and processes to enable reporting, analytics, and research on our digital properties.

Required skills

  • Proficient with Oracle PL/SQL and building processes in an Oracle environment
  • Proficient with shell scripting in a Linux environment
  • Proficient with base MS-Office products; outlook, word, excel, powerpoint
  • Experience with process scheduling and ETL tools (Informatica, Autosys)

Desired Skills

  • Ability to capture and document business requirements and translate into technical specs
  • Prior experience with autosys scheduling, specifically JIL coding language
  • Experience with ETL, building tables and views, organizing data into usable and ready to access data for reporting and analytics
  • Agile team experience
  • Knowledge of Hadoop development tools a plus (Hive, Impala, Spark, Python)
