Job Description:

We are looking for a Client Quantitative Analyst II to join the Wealth Management Analytics, Modeling and Insights Data Strategy team. Our team supports responsible growth across the firm’s investment solutions to provide greater understanding of strategic investment acquisition potential with existing Consumer clients and prospect populations.

This Client Quantitative Analyst II will be highly motivated to support a variety of business outcomes that require the ability to synthesize insights from various data sources. The role includes understanding the behaviors of wealth management clients, including adopting & using our digital capabilities/features and how they engage with us on our digital platforms. This role will continue to advance our current digital insights to expand our insights beyond identified clients through deeper exploration of existing site tagging and future advances in technology.

The role requires the individual to deliver meaningful and actionable insights though the proficiently use of tools & techniques to extract information from multiple source of data. The analyst is expected to support the analytics Team Leads to define business questions, develop approaches and execute approaches to solving the business question. This role will be hands-on in gathering and analyzing the data to provide recommendations based on the findings. This will include:

  • Executing analyses across the investment continuum, including Merrill and Private Bank, to understand market position and client-level opportunities.
  • Identifying innovative uses of customer data to target high-value business opportunities and drive improved performance.
  • Levering data multiple sources (structured and unstructured) with various levels of data quality to construct meaningful analysis and insights to business questions. 
  • Provide insights that reflect analytical outcomes that incorporates insights derived from analytics, research and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with technology and Analytics, Modeling and Insight Centers of Excellence teams to develop solutions and bring the full value of the Analytics, Modeling and Insight team.
  • Translate business questions into analytics projects with clear objectives, create and maintain work tracking documentation.
  • Present insights, implications and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and analytics leaders.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of analytics experience with ability to use SAS, SQL and/or PYTHON to find and deliver data from various databases and platforms.
  • Excellent statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight.
  • Comfortable and effective in tackling unstructured analytical challenges.
  • Project management experience with ability to adapt to changing priorities with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong networking and influencing skills, able to work collaboratively across teams without formal management responsibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.   
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point.

Desired Skills:

  • Financial services experience.
  • Knowledge of digital domain experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree in business or statistics.
  • Experience working in the Hadoop ecosystem (including Spark), Teradata, and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset who finds opportunities by embracing challenges.
