Your background

• At least 3 year’s industry experience gained while working in a brokerage firm or investment bank is essential for this position.
• The successful candidate will ideally have settlements experience in cash equity products.
• Ability to work under time pressure due to the short settlement window of this market
• Candidates must be analytical in nature, able to connect the flow from front to back, providing solutions from a firm-wide perspective.
• Possess high risk awareness
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
• Public holiday coverage and extend working hours may be required

What you can expect

The candidate will be responsible to support the settlement of Hong Kong & Stock Connect Cash Equity business. Functions include settlement and custody functions as a self-clearing broker in this market.

What you will do

• Provide quality post execution support to Institutional Clients from trade settlement, fail management.
• Ensure timely settlement with Exchange and Clients.
• Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlements.
• Managing settlement fails with Exchange and Clients
• Follow ups on post-settlement exceptions and reconciliations.
• Adhering to control procedures, identifying gaps and ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps.
• Stock borrow/return support
