Trade Finance Operations Analyst

Wholesale Banking Operations searches for a Trade Finance Operations Analyst (Officer/AVP Level)

This position in the Global Wholesale Operations team will be accountable for processing transactions of Trade Finance and Lending product, supporting the Global Transaction Services business. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all job processes within Lending and Trade Finance Operations are performed timely and accurately as per Service Level Agreement, in accordance to the bank’s internal procedure/policy as well as local regulations;
  • Resolve operational issues and coordinates activities and processes within line of business/operations function;
  • Identify, analyze and resolve complex problems related to product lines or functions, using general practices and precedents to resolve;
  • Develop and analyze procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activity;
  • Ensure that all outstanding items that require follow up actions (AOC, OFAC and etc.) are resolved timely and accurately;
  • Review various production reports (overdraft, exception, past due, reconciliation reports an etc.) promptly;
  • Escalate problems or issues urgently. Prepare internal and external reports as required;
  • Ensure that remediation, process change and/or business process improvement are timely implemented and documented;
  • Proactively identify, debate, address and escalate any deviations/issues on immediate basis;
  • Work closely with business partners on complex transactions by providing professional operational solutions to achieve client satisfaction;
  • Should have thorough understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function;
  • Responsible for the day today resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions for the business unit, or units, including research;
  • Initiates projects and alternatives to improve operations efficiency;

  • Provides guidance to associates within own unit regarding procedural, technical and/or operational changes;
  • Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible operations analysis work and on the job training;
