System Engineer Analyst , Core Technology Infrastructure

Position Summary

Candidate will lead a function responsible for designing and developing automation and monitoring solutions in support of the Employee Experience Technology production environment. The role requires solid knowledge of the enterprise employee technology environment and experience in software development management, as well as a proven track record of development of enterprise solutions. The candidate will lead an agile team that develops provisioning, self-service, and production operations automation systems to drive efficiencies, improve timeliness and accuracy, and create frictionless interactions with internal customers. The candidate will also be responsible for adhering to, owning, updating, and creating necessary security and development standards. Employees in this job manage a function but may not necessarily directly manage people.

Technical skills as an Administrator and User with key automation tools including:

  • BladeLogic, Atrium Orchestrator, Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Celestial, BitBucket, Artifactory, PowerShell, SQL, Windows Server scripting, Linux scripting, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

  • Highly proficient with key telemetry and system monitoring tools including: Netcool, Splunk, SiteScope, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and CatchPoint.

  • Knowledge of Engineering design patterns and appropriate fit-for-purpose tools. Experience with Scheduling tools: BladeLogic Scheduler, AutoSys, etc.

  • Key skills include consulting skills and conflict resolution, ability to apply both broad technical expertise and business knowledge to work across organizational structures to meet customer needs, and strong communications/presentation skills.

  • Specific knowledge and proven track record of end-to-end software development, including the ability to translate business & technical processes into actionable and executable code. Experience with automation design patterns and architecture and all aspects of the system development lifecycle.

  • Experience in large-scale enterprise technology management, specifically with privileged and non-privileged access automation scripting.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required.

Individuals are the lead engineers on a project team. Analyze business requirements and existing operating systems. Design and configure new systems to meet user requirements for a function or unit, often using new technologies. Ensures appropriate interface capabilities with networks and operating systems. Recommends the appropriate computer platform, work stations and communication linkage required to support mainframe, distributed and client server business processes and information flow. Interfaces with business areas to ensure all initiatives support business strategies and goals. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Works under minimal supervision. Typically 7-10 years of systems experience.
