Digital Strategist/Digital Art Director, Enterprise Creative Solutions (ECS)

Job Description:

As a Digital Art Director in Enterprise Creative Solutions (ECS) you will work in a team environment to create visual experiences that delight clients while achieving business goals. You will be responsible for driving strategy for interactive projects from concept through execution across all digital platforms with a primary focus on, websites, video, online advertising and social media.

Your goal will be to deliver solid digital solutions for products and services across many lines of business in the banking industry and over time you will understand the products and services as a subject matter expert. You respect brand positioning and can determine when it is appropriate to push the limits to improve the customer experience. You love what you do and enjoy being in a team environment.

As an ideal candidate for this position, you should be innovative, and web and multimedia savvy. Ultimately, as the Digital Strategist/Digital Art Director, you should have a firm grasp of the various digital touchpoints, steer our organization's digital narrative, and drive highly effective digital campaigns.

This role gives you the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate and implement improvements on digital strategy
  • Research the latest digital tools and interactive trends
  • Create integrated and cost-effective digital strategies

  • Interpret and implement the brand expression and create solutions that elevate the brand experience 
  • Understand target audience’s needs and behaviors while incorporating best practices and channel knowledge to promote advanced solutions for the user experience that will drive results
  • Field technical client questions and follow up with client education on existing and new digital technologies
  • Conceptualize and collaborate with creative team to create fully integrated human experiences and develop digital communications; user-friendly accessible websites and media including websites, microsites, email, banners and social touch points

Required Skills/Traits

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a digital or interactive designer with a concentration on digital strategy
  • Thorough understanding of digital touchpoints
  • Understanding of web analytics
  • Possess broad knowledge of digital practices
  • Self-starting, proactive, collaborative, seeker of opportunities in the work
  • An organized, buttoned-up, professional approach to executing work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • A collaborative team player
  • Passion for technology, industry awareness, and ongoing evolution
  • Solid knowledge of social media platforms and design standards
  • Have an understanding and proficiency in accessibility design and standards for the web such as WCAG 2.1 (Wen Content Accessibility Guidelines), Web Content, Users Agents Authoring Tools, Operable UI, Nav, ect.

  • Show the flexibility to fulfill design, coach and steer creative execution, and testing roles
  • Prior experience working with or for financial institutions
  • Working understanding of HTML, CSS, web standards and their impacts on creative and design with a strong understanding of the differences between email and web capabilities

  • Advanced understanding of Mobile-First creative and design development
