Data Manager

Job Description:

Wholesale Credit is an integrated underwriting, monitoring and product management division servicing wholesale businesses in Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB), Global Markets and Global Wealth & Investment Management. 

Within Wholesale Credit the Analytics & Information Strategy (AIS) organization is responsible for delivering high-quality global banking data for enterprise and regulatory reporting uses. To do this, the team executes a comprehensive data management program that ensures data are complete, accurate, timely, and fit for intended uses. 

The WCNLP team implement business solutions leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP).  The NLP Data Manager will guide the development of the target state WCNLP platform by leading strategic efforts to leverage NLP technology across Wholesale Credit.  The Data Manager will drive the development of multiple user interfaces that support Credit and Operations processes.  Responsibilities include collaborating with subject matter experts and design teams to deliver applications that leverage NLP technology.

Must have knowledge of program/project management fundamentals and experience with user interface design and development.  Employs multiple research and user testing techniques to create a continuous feedback loop with the users, focusing on behavior and underlying needs, on outcome over features.  Requires proven executive communication skills and ability to lead effectively across a highly-matrixed structure.  Does not have staff management responsibility; typically requires 7-10 years of applicable experience.

-Experience driving the development of user interfaces based on Human-Centered Design

-Proven ability to collaborate with multiple users, subject matter experts and stakeholders to deliver user-centric products

-Program management experience leading data and technology efforts

-Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions to achieve desired results

-Proven leader within highly-matrixed organizations

-Strong knowledge of credit-related process and systems

-Ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address

-Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines

Desired Skills:

-Experience with Wholesale/Commercial Credit processes or systems

-Familiarity with Natural Language Processing models and practices

-Experience with model risk management processes

-Understanding of Graphic Design Fundamentals (color theory, typography, layouts, composition

-Experience creating layouts/compositions with prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Invision, etc.)

-HTML/CSS -SQ
