Software Engineer II- Regulated Messaging Engineer

Bank of America is a regulated financial institution that must live up to and deliver against a diverse set of laws, rules and regulations, regulatory, compliance and internal requirements. One such service is Regulated Messaging, which is focused on designing, delivering and supporting e-communications (think email, instant messaging, social media) archival, eDiscovery and supervision services. This space is challenging and dynamic, requiring someone who is hard-working, creative and able to deliver consistent results in an inconsistent atmosphere. There is no standard “day in the life” for this role; however, the successful candidate will get a wide array of experiences, get exposure to multiple technologies for skills that translate across technology as well as exposure to a cross section of Bank, Industry and Vendor contacts.
The successful candidate will step into a senior role and join a group of people dedicated to supporting our Regulated Messaging services via consistent high quality delivery of our services, bringing new technology to life at the bank, modernizing our tools and creating reliable, predictable experiences for our stakeholders.

Required Skills:
•-Several years experience in an engineering and/or architecture role architecting, designing, delivering and operating technology solutions
•-Several years of experience implementing line of business initiatives and projects
•-Several years of process execution, improvement and documentation
Desired Skills:
•   2+ years in Archival, Messaging, Data Analytics and Data Management technologies such as Micro  Focus Digital Safe, Veritas Enterprise Vault, Proofpoint Enterprise Archive & eDiscovery, Smarsh, Relativity
•    2+ years of extensive experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft 365
•    Mastery of the following: Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Compliance, and Security
•    Experience with implementing compliance services for large enterprises for Microsoft Azure and  Office 365 services.
•    Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex compliance topics to both executive, technical and business personnel
• Experience with enterprise data archival and data/information lifecycle knowledge of application messaging products and capabilities (Email, Social Media, Chat)
• Experience with enterprise data archival and data/information lifecycle knowledge of application messaging products and capabilities (Email, Social Media, Chat)
• Communication compliance and governance frameworks for Microsoft 365, including communication: archiving, retention, information rights management, records management, and data governance
• Technical skills with implementing Exchange Online Hybrid, Microsoft Teams, and communication compliance modules within M365 Compliance Center
• In-Place Records Management in Exchange Online Hybrid
• Archiving and retention in Exchange Online Hybrid
• Administration of the M365 Compliance Center
• Ethical walls and Information Barriers across M365
• Communication DLP native and custom policies
• DLP policy for protected communications
• Communication data governance delivery
• Microsoft Information Protection
• Communication audit log investigations
• Communication core/advanced eDiscovery
