Product Pricing Manager

Charlotte, North Carolina;

Job Description:

The Product Pricing Manager is central to deposit rate management and execution, including leveraging capabilities of new deposit pricing models and deposit pricing engine.

  • Responsible for end to end management and tracking of exception pricing program results, working with field sales managers to drive adoption and maximize benefits of exception pricing
  • Work closely with partners in product, finance,  and balance sheet management groups to share insights and findings
  • Responsible for developing insights around deposit rate management in support of funding, interest expense and revenue objectives
  • Responsible for development of business cases in support of key initiatives
  • Responsible for execution of pricing strategies and tactics across multiple ongoing initiatives

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, takes initiative, independent worker, surfaces and escalates issues or concerns effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to confidently present to senior leaders
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others to drive execution or approval of strategic recommendations
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data
  • Strong excel experience is required
  • Ability to form strong partnerships with key stakeholders and work with them on initiatives; hold accountable when needed

Enterprise Role Description:

Responsible for reviewing and pricing products and services. Analyzes the profitability of the client and/or specific services, works up pricing recommendations, and implements and verifies pricing. Must work closely with Product managers on pricing strategies and involve Product managers on deals when necessary. Is responsible for communicating with sales officers and addressing pricing questions and/or issues from the Sales team. Must also be aware of the deal size and arrange for senior management approval calls. May act as an individual contributor or may lead a smaller team in developing and/or influencing pricing strategies and profitability. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. Has extensive technical or functional knowledge of pricing strategies and models.
