Market Information Consultant CP

Job Description:

  • Creates and maintains reporting via various methods, primarily MicroStrategy / Tableau / Excel / SRRS, utilizing core Consumer Lending data resources to enable and support Consumer Lending Underwriting and Fulfillment processes primarily focused on Home Loans products with cross over into other products.  
  • Develops SQL aggregation logic in support of web reporting while functioning within technology-sector-defined requirements for SQL code design and implementation process.
  • Works with report requestors to understand business objectives and reporting needs in order to design and create meaningful design elements, technical solutions and reporting within existing system infrastructure.
  • Know the business and understand, anticipate and drive reporting evolution; assist in strengthening the position of the business through identification and reporting of a robust suite of metrics. 
  • Design and create reporting solutions around key operational metrics and proactive identification of potential issues or concerns.  
  • Ensure timely delivery and maintain performance standards. 
  • Effectively develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and peers.
  • Collaborate with team members to share expertise and develop best practices.
  • Ensure reporting is built with an eye towards efficiency while maintaining standards and remaining within bank guardrails. 
  • Applies technical knowledge to determine end to end design requirements for small, medium and large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors.

Required Skills:

  • System Analyst / Technical documentation experience including Business Requirement Documents, High Level Design documents and Low Level Design documents.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall SDLC life cycle and Lean Agile principles.
  • Five years experience with SQL development, involving database design, stored procedures, table creation, aggregation logic and complex joins.  Cross RDMS platforms including Oracle / SQL / Server / Teradata / Hadoop
  • Five years experience with web report development, including dynamic data, matrices, and report linking/embedding.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with source control
  • Self starter with strong time management skills
  • Ability to effectively develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, peers and team members.
  • Degree in Business Information systems, computer science, mathematics or related discipline

Desired Skills:

  • Consumer Lending Background
  • Data Modeling, Database Design, Kimball Star Schema experience, abstract Design concepts, efficient multipurpose object design preferred.
