Analytics & Information Strategy - Data Initiatives Lead

Job Description:

Wholesale Credit is an integrated underwriting, monitoring and product management division servicing wholesale businesses in Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB), Global Markets and Global Wealth & Investment Management.

Within Wholesale Credit the Analytics & Information Strategy (AIS) organization is responsible for delivering high-quality global banking data, information and analytics for enterprise and regulatory reporting uses. To do this, the team executes a comprehensive data and analytics management program that ensures data are complete, accurate, timely, and fit for intended uses.

This Data Lead will own and lead a multi-year program to modernize and transform how we source, prepare, utilize and deliver Global Banking data for unified regulatory and internal modeling purposes.  This is a hybrid role that will balance credit, data, technology and very strong leadership skills to lead a diverse group of teammates end-to-end through this transformation; from strategy, into design, through build/test, to production deployment, and then to user adoption.  This is first and foremost a leadership role, but this role is accountable for both business and technical implementation and thus that background and expertise is critical.  Additionally, as needed, this role may need to role up their sleeves and be required to evaluate/analyze data in support of the team and the objectives.

•  Direct experience in data, data management and/or data analytics

•  Experience leading large and complex projects;  leading both credit, data, and technology resources

•  Must be able to visualize and execute on creative solutions; both strategic and tactical

•  Ability to clearly articulate highly complex subjects to senior leadership, and others not familiar with this space

•  While not a “project manager” role, you’ll partner with PMs, and must have excellent organizational skills and be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

•  Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

•  Must be able to engage and leverage teams and business partners to efficiently deliver business solutions

•  Must have experience directing multiple Technology teams to deliver complex product

•  Excellent opportunity for the right candidate, but must be able to stay focused, deliver, and adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Desired Skills:

•  Direct knowledge and experience with BAC credit data (people/process/systems)

•  General knowledge of bank financial practices and policies

•  SQL data extraction skills, and deep expertise pulling and analyzing data
