Process Overview

Global Wholesale Banking Technology group (GWBT) provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Banking businesses including Treasury, Trade Finance, Credit, Payments and Transaction Banking. In addition, GWBT also provides technology solutions across several horizontal functions including Sales, CRM, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client services for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.

GWBT is engaged in applications and across the complete spectrum of Application Development and Production Support. GWBT’s type of work and services include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using a wide range of technologies. GWBT India team is doing extensive work in several regulatory, strategic and initiatives programs.

Job Description

The individual will play the role of Production Services Lead and will handle a team of resources supporting Whole Credit ADS applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead from front in order manage production outage (Incident / Problem Management) and ensure proper communications are sent out in time

  • Understand the basic functionality of wholesale Credit and its dependent upstream requirements

  • Ensure that the business queries are answered and resolved within defined SLA

  • Ensure that the daily & Monthly batches are running good and are completed within defined SLA's

  • Automate the Manual work as and when required

  • Improve the efficiency of environment by re-engineering the process to remove redundancies

  • Build good relationship with Business users, Dev partners and other support teams

  • Work on addition projects for improving production efficiency as well as reducing risk

  • Identify production failure scenarios, triages incidents and drive problem tickets in as well as communicates effectively with development and internal business teams

  • Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, as well as maintain metrics to help develop analysis that will drive improvement in all areas of Production Services

  • Create and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting best practice guidelines, standards and procedures

  • Take ownership of escalations and perform trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills

  • Resolve complex issues

  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

  • Possess increased awareness and exposure to technical principles, concepts and techniques and provide coaching and mentoring for team members

  • Serve as an escalation point between the client/business area and internal management for the resolution of moderately complex unresolved problems, complaints and service requests

Requirements

Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications, If Any: PL/SQL, Informtica, DataStage, Hadoop (Not Mandatory)

Experience Range: 10 - 12 years (With 4+ years of People management experience)

Foundational skills:

  • Experience in Bigdata (Hadoop - HDFS, Scala, Spark, Scoop)

  • Experience in UNIX and shell scripting.

  • Experience in Database (Oracle/Exadata SQL Server, SYBASE)

  • Experience in Job scheduling tools like Autosys or Control M

  • Well versed with ITIL concepts like Incident, Change and Problem Management

Desired skills:

  • Exposure to OO languages like Java or Python

  • Exposure to DataStage

Work Timings: General Shift (11.30 a.m. to 08.30 p.m. IST)
