Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager

Job Description:

The Test Analytics and Reporting Manager is a member of the Enterprise Independent Testing Reporting, Data and Analytics team. A test is defined in the Independent Testing Enterprise Policy as “an independent point-in-time examination of one or more processes, controls, policies and procedures or data sources utilized for managing risk to assess the effectiveness of the control environment. The Test Analytics & Reporting Manager assesses the reporting needs of the Independent Testing function, designs an effective enterprise reporting framework, and leads a function dedicated to the reporting of global testing across the enterprise. This role partners with the Chief Testing Officer groups, who is the central point of contact for Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) results and manages the work of the Tableau develop/designers for EIT Testing Analytics and Reporting. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing reporting routines. Responsibilities for this role also include ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by establishing effective quality assurance practices across teams.

Responsibilities include:

·         Serving in a Lead capacity by mentoring, training and working with a group of junior Tableau developers

·         Working with partners to understand the business requirements, make recommendations, and work with technology, teammates, leaders and other teams to build out new dynamic dashboards

·         The Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager will work with enterprise teams including Global Technology and Operations (GT&O), FLU and GCOR Test Owners to understand the scope and complexity of the tests and reporting needs to design, build and implement as well as consume required data to establish the appropriate granularity, frequency and analytics required to meet reporting needs in a self-service and dynamic reporting environment that leverages both a centralized data repository (SDAR) and dashboard tools that provide access to the test owner results and related data via Tableau.

·         Development of tableau dashboards used by other control functions, and business units.

·         For EIT to become the ETU, the Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager will oversee assessments and rationalization tasks to onboard new FLUs. This will involve working with EIT partners and FLU contacts to understand current testing, data and reporting. The Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager will partner with the ETU Integration team and Chief Testing Officer to understand the complexity as well as any impacts to ensure a smooth integration of the tests as they are moved onto the EIT platform and consider any initiative funding requirements.

·         Responsibilities for this role also include ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by establishing effective quality assurance practices across teams. The Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager will also oversee project progress, resolve road blocks and provide project status update to leadership team.

·         Reporting, Data & Analytics Manager may contribute as a manager responsible for providing leadership direction to attract, assess, develop, motivate and retain a small team, or may act as an individual contributor.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Expert level skill in SQL and Tableau

·         Proven ability to influence with impact

·         Minimum of 7 years work experience

·         5+ years’ experience in a financial institution within a related area

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

·         Experience with ORACLE, SQL and Hadoop databases

·         Demonstrates analytical ability, critical thinking and problem solving

·         Acts with courage and conviction

·         Demonstrates business acumen

·         Experience developing strong talent and driving operational excellence

·         Promotes collaboration and demonstrates effective consulting

·         Demonstrates integrity
