Your background

  • A seasoned project manager with exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a drive to follow-up and document commitments with diverse stakeholders;
  • Good understanding of banking products, processes and business operations. Good knowledge of information security controls is an advantage;
  • Comfortable in translating complex technical details into simplified presentation proposals to communicate and gain approvals from senior leadership or business representatives;
  • Ability to work with stakeholders in business and technology groups who are based in various locations as required by the projects;
  • Be assertive, inquisitive and creative to assure timely outcomes.
  • Strong technical background in network infrastructure / network security concepts is desired but not essential.

Global Information Security helps to assess threats and provide scalable and flexible solutions to actively manage these threats and specific risks to the Bank.

The Portfolio Manager will be part of the APAC GIS COO team providing operational and delivery expertise with a focus on driving information security awareness and rigor to meet business requirements and goals, while addressing the agreed risk tolerances of the business environment. 

The successful candidate will be able to work both individually and as part of a team, bringing an organized and disciplined, but creative and energetic enthusiasm to building a best-in–class organization.

What you will do

  • Guide functional GIS teams on change standards and ensure standards and processes are upheld and clearly defined to deliver business benefits
  • Gather data, generate materials and management reporting for “Watch Items” and “Initiatives” in region, facilitating collaboration and cross-functional teamwork with Information Security Officers and other stakeholders, as required
  • Support global and regional ad-hoc/project-based initiatives in execution
  • Ensure the successful adoption of operational and business change e.g. operational excellence, process improvement and initiatives (technology and non-technology)
  • Identify, record, escalate and maintain project and operational risks
  • Partner with Infrastructure Project Managers assigned to projects to collectively engage stakeholders where needed to ensure the smooth delivery of the projects
  • Be responsible for the execution, budget and quality of projects directly assigned, including the transition to production and the delivery of the communication strategy to all impacted parties
  • Analyze and identify gaps for in-region execution of processes and controls with GIS functional teams; ensure remediation of any controls gaps linked to in-region execution
  • Enable functional accountability and provide oversight on behalf of RISO, such as the operating routines of APAC Information Security Officers
  • Facilitate strategic level discussions under the guidance of the Information Security Officer
  • Provide regular management business updates on actions plans aligned to strategic goals
  • Be flexible, demonstrate desire to learn and to be able deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Build effective, capable teams through continuous technical training, coaching and leadership development
