Process Overview*

Global Procurement was set up in 2007 to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business functions. The capabilities initially included Supplier Enablement, Supplier registration and PR to PO process. Later capabilities like Sourcing, Contract Management, Category and Spend management, Vendor Due Diligence etc. have also been added.

Job Description*

Sourcing COE is divided into procurement groups as per business alignment and Sourcing Support Associates located in Gurgaon, India within these procurement groups are providing sourcing support across Bank of America global operations. Each procurement group team comprises of 12-20 team members with GBS Asia Pacific job titles such as Senior Manager, Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leader, Team Developer, and Senior Team Member. Teams is responsible for executing sourcing requests assigned to them, such as processing sub-agreements to Master Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Change Orders, Statement of Work, Addendum, Amendments, Contract Extensions, Evaluation Agreements etc in the ARIBA system for respective Sourcing categories.

Additionally there is a horizontal sourcing support group which provide procurement support & execution of contracts horizontally across our procurement sub-groups. The Sourcing Center of Excellence (COE) Sourcing Support Group Lead will lead associate in Sourcing Support group.

The Sourcing Support group lead is responsible functions - eRFX, QA, Training, Intake & non-disclosure agreements execution. Group lead will closely work with Global Procurement, Line of Business Partners, Vendor Managers, Category Managers, and other Support Partners including Legal and Internal Control Function located across Bank of America’s global footprint.

Additionally person will be responsible to lead strategic program, project governance, and will work with Sourcing COE Procurement leaders & wider GBS Global Procurement leaders/teams to drive strategic initiatives, procurement transformation activities, change management etc.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen and a capacity to dive deep to solve complex problems. Experience partnering with cross-functional business and technical teams is a requirement. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities*

  • Facilitating and clarifying workflow between Sourcing Support, Line of Business, global Procurement, and Vendor Manager Partners regarding business requirements, contract type, contract language, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOR) artifacts
  • Intake function – routing Sourcing requests from Business as per designated work flow to Sourcing COE teams
  • Ensuring eRFX events are set-up & executed as per agreed timelines
  • Ensuring execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance / Control (QA / QC) of contracts, remediation & providing thematic learning opportunity for Sourcing COE associates
  • Driving learning & training program for Sourcing COE associates
  • Close coordination with Sourcing partners in APAC/EMEA/US
  • Interaction with Line of Business and other business partners
  • Ability to drive operational excellence, other projects within & across team and having a strong focus on Risk & Governance
  • Ensure KPIs and other metrics are met
  • Providing timely resolution to team dynamics and appropriately address operational & behavioral issues
  • Professional development of associates within team
  • Collaboration and driving cross functional projects across larger global procurement teams

Requirements*

Education*       

Graduate or Post graduate, with MBA/PGDBA or professional degree from a premier institute & strong process delivery & sourcing background

Certifications If Any - Not mandatory; but any certification in the field of supply chain certification, project management, program management, emerging technologies will be an added advantage

Experience Range*     

10+ years of Sourcing and Procurement experience working in a global environment across multiple time zones and communicating with senior/middle management levels of diverse stakeholders

 Foundational skills*

  • Experience with managing multi-million dollar Sourcing categories
  • Experience in creating & driving eRFX events – forward & reverse auctions
  • Keen understanding of contract types and contract terms and conditions
  • Capable of red-lining documents, creating agreements, and negotiating with Vendors
  • Governance routines: Prepare & partner in delivery of governance materials; Coordinate with onshore engagement managers; Monthly/Quarterly Scorecards
  • Ability to drive procurement initiatives and transformation projects like Procurement cloud design/implementation, reengineering projects and migration of projects
  • Prepare presentations / dashboards to facilitate discussions with business stakeholders and senior executives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of procurement tools and applications like GEP/Coupa/Ariba/Ivalua
  • Flexibility to deal with multiple concurrent issues and tasks - ability to self-manage and prioritize
