Administrative Assistant III

RICHMOND, Virginia;

Job Description:

This Administrative Assistant III position requires strong communication and customer service skills, excellent computer skills (particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.  The role serves as a resource for basic company policies and procedures.  Communicates with senior managers and line management to gather/convey relevant information.  Performs diverse, advanced and confidential administrative support functions. May act as liaison to outside groups in coordinating events and meetings.  Involved in high-level contact and exposure to sensitive information and must use considerable tact, diplomacy and judgment.  Involved with developing and maintaining numerous business reports.

Responsible for meeting/event management and facilitation, communications planning and execution for executive team and all employees, management reporting for various routines, executive presentations.

Supports the administrative functions for a Regional and Market team. Responsibilities may include operations analysis, identification and resolution of work flow issues, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, communication and personnel processes. Works with Region and Market

Manages on personnel, recruiting support, coordination of certain projects. Administers bank programs and policies and provides interpretation to department. Requires an in-depth knowledge of bank policies and programs and of the department's functional operations. May direct workflow activities.

Required Skills: Must have these skills to be minimally qualified:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications -- especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Must be self-motivated and possess excellent written, verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with customers, associates and business partners

• Be able to work independently and effectively as a team player

• Must have the ability to work well under pressure

• Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task

• Ability to research issues using multiple bank systems

• Have excellent organizational and problem solving skills

• Effective prioritization of multiple tasks, balancing quality and productivity

• Availability to work a flexible schedule assignment

• Ability to work in an ever-changing environment  

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years related experience in a business support or administrative function

• Strong Business acumen and understanding of Preferred Consumer Banking and Investments

• Proven track record of building strong partnerships and influencing management and executive level without direct authority

• Comfortable presenting to and interacting with leadership

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Proficiency with bank systems examples include but not limited to: SharePoint, Ariba, Concur, WebEx
