Release Train Engineer

Charlotte, North Carolina;

Job Description:

Position Summary

This role is for a Release Train Engineer (RTE), who will be supporting the Solution Train Engineer and working closely with the Program/Project Manager. Responsibilities include optimizing the flow of epics / features and the value delivered by the Release Train (ART) including coordinating and facilitating the ART ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams in the ART, and providing visibility into the health of epic / feature delivery and the overall program increment.  This role ensures impediments to epic / feature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery.  They assist with financial management for the ART and assist with resource planning.  This role is an individual contributor at the program level.
Required Skills
• 3 to 5yrs Project Management + Scrum Master Experience - Scrum Master Certification is preferred Experience with Scrum master, Agile, Jira.
•Ability to lead and influence team in adopting the Agile principles.
•Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help team solve problems.
• Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines.
• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
• High level of credibility with executives and business partners; demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive to results.
• Builds positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Uses the right questions to uncover the root cause of business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations.
• Serve as a liaison between the product owners and development team to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
• Facilitating productivity by removing impediments team will encounter, mediating through conflicts, helping team to make decisions and adhering to continuous improvement principles.
• Coordinating across other agile teams for complex projects.
• Leveraging data to measuring & monitoring progress.
Desired Skills

• Existing experience with the Bank of America Change Management Framework, ChangeScape, PPRT, SharePoint is desired but not required.

​• Prior RTE experience preferred, ideally with associated certfication.

​• IT experience.

• HP Quality Center

• Experience in working in large global complex matrix organizations.

• Be an active part of the Agile community within company and participate in continuous improvement within this discipline.
