Reporting Analyst, Global Markets Credit

Job Description:

The Data & Portfolio Management Team within GMC is responsible for the portfolio management of the exposure and performance metrics related to GMC underwriting and monitoring activities as well as driving process automation initiatives to drive data related efficiencies.  The GMC Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and improvements of reports and data under the aggregate GMC scope.  The GMC Reporting Analyst will be expected to:

  • Produce timely and accurate reporting.  GMC reporting includes product portfolio reviews, exposure and risk attributes and trends, profitability, pipeline, IBOR transition progress
  • Analyze and investigate data to determine key drivers and changes
  • Support Portfolio Managers in efforts to provide meaningful, accurate reporting and presentations of Global Markets activities
  • Ensure data integrity and coordinate with other GMC Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers
  • Prepare presentations to respond to regulatory and senior management requests
  • Contribute to projects to implement data flow and process automation work or other improvements that create efficiencies in the reporting process and reduce operational risk
  • Become familiar with key aspects of his or her coverage area, including policy, procedures, key risks, structure and data drivers
  • Monitor and escalate emerging issues and trends to the relevant Portfolio Manager for discussion with FLU, GMC, Risk and other partners
  • Support firm wide Wholesale Credit initiatives and liaise with applicable stakeholders across the firm on emerging topics

 

Required job skills

 

  • 1-3 years of experience in credit risk management, reporting, finance, control or middle office functions with a focus on reporting and/or data investigation
  • Diligence and strong attention to detail to accurately distill and compare large data sets
  • Candidate should exhibit strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness, with a desire to grow, learn, and take on increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners
  • Desire to improve and/or streamline processes
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx along with ability to quickly learn new programs and applications
