Global Markets Risk Manager - COO, Governance & Strategy

Jersey City, New Jersey;

Job Description:

• Primary point of contact across GMFR to drive key Business Operations work streams.
• Manage Business Operations activities including, but not limited to: Business Continuity Planning and Events Management, Location Strategy and Workspace Management, Access Management and Governance
• Support other areas related to Audits management, Risk Identification, Cost allocations, Return to Office etc.
• Supports executive routines, strategic communications, training/development and engagement activities, as well as strategic priority projects where appropriate. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture.
• Supports executive routines such as Quarterly Business Reviews and executive performance reviews, working with applicable SMEs for inputs as required
• Develops and supports executive communication strategy and execution including but not limited to infusion of leadership messaging and content into existing communications/routines and development of additional or ad hoc communications as needed
• Support employee engagement (in close partnership with EDIC leads, HR/L&LD, Learning Partners) to drive comprehensive approach and coordination across key stakeholder groups. Includes but not limited to supporting Town Halls/All Hands meetings, Associate Survey analysis and action planning/tracking/messaging at all levels within GMFR
• Supports related Strategic Priority tracking and influences progression where appropriate, owning key projects as needed
• Coordinates and drives effective management routines related to the above as appropriate
• Assist with ad-hoc, high priority projects as needed
 

Required and desired skills/qualifications:

• Ability to think strategically across GMFR to identify opportunities to improve overall performance efficiency
• Ability to challenge the status quo, produce appropriate changes and implement goals
• Ability to develop comprehensive plans around key control priorities and ensure all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities
• Strong partnership and relationship building skills with the ability to influence
• Effectively and efficiently coordinates and drives execution of key control priorities across the broader GRM organization
• Ability to track performance and analyze data/progress metrics to benchmark against short and long-term goals
• Acts as trusted advisor across GMFR and with key stakeholders across the broader organization
• Proven business operations and business controls experience
• Working knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions
• 7+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field
• Strong analytical, and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills and executive presence
• Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations
