Job Description:

The Project Manager will serve as a key member of the Associate Readiness & Adoption team, leading and contributing to initiatives to support the GBAM Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) team and the broader GBAM team in meeting Customer Identification Program (“CIP”)/Customer Due Diligence (“CDD”) requirements. Key responsibilities of the Readiness and Adoption team include managing CIP/CDD procedures and implementing updates, communicating procedural changes and other key AML updates to relevant teams, and delivering AML training to both the GBAM AML team and GBAM front line units (“FLUs”) partly through the recently launched AML University Program (“AMLU”).  In addition, the team manages Readiness & Adoption activities related to the bank’s AML system of record, AWARE. The team further initiates and leads execution of targeted strategic projects to strengthen and simplify GBAM’s AML platform and processes. The Project Manager will contribute to, support and at times lead team efforts across these areas, coordinating closely with partners in other AML teams and support areas as well as directly with AML Leads, COOs, and other stakeholders within the GBAM FLUs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to and/or managing communications and training to enable change readiness for impacted audiences: the GBAM AML team, GBAM onboarding and GBAM sales
  • Collaborating with and supporting a high performing team of content developers and instructional designers in developing and executing training leveraging a variety of mediums (webex, instructor-led, MyLearning), inclusive of logistics/scheduling and tracking
  • Contributing to team efforts in executing procedural changes and audit-related work, as well as larger scale strategic projects across the GBAM AML team 
  • Developing communications materials, including monthly newsletters and direct notifications of changes
  • Contributing to the design, development and delivery of content for the AML University training program, including identifying training opportunities, strategies and solutions that are linked to AML team and business goals
  • Over time, acting as a liaison and trusted advisor to the GBAM AML team, FLUs and other partners (e.g. GFC, Ops, COO) in addressing AML Readiness & Adoption topics
  • Helping to identify emerging AML risks and trends and proactively integrating them into the GBAM AML program

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7+ years of experience in financial services industry
  • Professional maturity and experience to interact with internal clients, senior bankers/sales and senior management, including ability to influence others and remove barriers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Excellent ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to design/create presentations/processes and training to speak to multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and overall communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong collaboration and teaming skills
  • Must be flexible and have experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of AML and/or GBAM businesses preferred
