Consumer Product Strategy Analyst IV

Job Description:

This position requires the selected candidate to be the subject matter expert on multiple business and technical topics and an ability to independently drive strategic improvements. Key responsibilities include understanding available functionality and strategies to determine what enhancements are required to address gaps and drive industry leading capabilities within the business.  Additional responsibilities include developing requirements, implementation plans, and execution.  Candidate must be able to successfully influence and gain consensus across a variety of key stakeholders including

  • Operations- Merchant Credit & Transaction Risk Monitoring, Operations, Product, Sales

  • Control, Legal, Risk and Compliance

  • Program Architecture, Technology, and Intake

  • Program Leadership

To be successful, this associate must have the ability to cultivate strong working relationships with business partners- both internal and external, to develop comprehensive designs and execute implementation plans.  Doing so will require strong listening, analytical and influencing skills.  Responsibility and accountability- both personal accountability and the leadership skills to hold others accountable, will be critical for success.

Required Skills

  • Proven analytical ability as demonstrated through 5+ years related work experience

  • Experience using database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as Python, SAS, SQL, DB2, Tableau

  • Highly skilled in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for development, validation, implementation and documentation of credit risk and/or fraud business strategies and scoring toolkits

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter

  • Must be decisive and client focused

  • Must be creative, strategic, and a thoughtful risk-taker

  • Effective project management and organizational skills; ability to collaborate, manage, influence, and expand relationships across the organization and with all levels of management, setting expectations and holding people accountable as necessary

  • Strong understanding of risk strategies, and credit/fraud operations with proven problem solving skills

Desired Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience with Merchant Services, Consumer Lending, Commercial or Small Business analytics

  • Experience using Experian PowerCurve

  • Previous credit or fraud strategy experience and knowledge of policies for consumer and/or small business lending

  • Direct experience using automated decision engines to drive strategy execution

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering or related field

  • Analytic work experience in support of consumer or small business lending involving the use of credit bureau information

  • Proven capabilities in Tableau

  • Merchant Services industry knowledge

  • Agile Delivery Methodology
