Sr. Business Control Specialist

Charlotte, North Carolina;

Job Description:

The Risk Management & Business Controls (RMBC) Team is part of the Global Marketing Organization.  RMBC is responsible for risk management and business controls oversight including risk management routines, issues and sustainability management, process and change management, business controls quality assurance testing and monitoring activities and control reporting across the Marketing organization to ensure adherence to the Enterprise Risk Framework.  This role provides analytical support in executing internal control disciplines and operational excellence within the Marketing organization, gathers and organizes data and prepares documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management. 

The best teammate for this role will possess strong organizational, analytical and execution skills, pay close attention to details, is a great communicator and collaborator, and excels at being deadline-oriented to succeed in a fast-paced environment.  The Sr. Business Control Specialist will assist in the execution of internal control disciplines and operational excellence activities to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards, support control improvements and other remediation activities as needed, and act as an ambassador of the risk culture.  This teammate will work with Marketing leaders, Process Owners, RMBC teammates and other Key Stakeholders to collect and aggregate data to support adherence to Enterprise Standards.

Minimally required qualifications:
• Issue Management or Risk tracking and escalation experience or Business Controls experience
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities; proven time management skills
• Strong attention to detail, logical reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint tools

• Bachelor's degree

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of directly related experience
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with partners
• Established project management skills
• Proven verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with senior leaders and all levels of management
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment and be flexible to the needs of the business as priorities change
• Ability to identify areas for improvement, challenge, recommend solutions and drive action
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
