Job Title: Diversity and Inclusion Manager

LOB: Global HR

Location: London

The Diversity & Inclusion Manager will lead D&I strategy and Programs, under the guidance of the Global Diversity and Inclusion team. In this role you will partner across the business and HR colleagues to identifying gaps and opportunities, create a comprehensive strategy and establish enterprise efforts to attract, hire, retain, develop and advance diverse talent in the organization. You must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, make informed decisions, influence at all levels of the organization and deliver achievable and measurable results in support of our diversity strategy.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute innovative Diversity and Inclusion strategies and programs that support representation

  • Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues including Talent Acquisition and LLD to drive key messages and strategic initiatives across the LOB/Region

  • Analyse D&I data, best practices and market trends; leverage to inform D&I strategy, programs and priorities

    • Share impactful monthly D&I reporting with business leaders

    • Provide D&I data for business reviews and other key routines

    • Develop new and enhance existing methods to report on progress made against D&I goals

  • Advise and support LOB/Region D&I Champions and Council

  • Work with communications and marketing teams to develop internal and external communications, including the submission of awards and benchmarks

  • Partner with the bank-wide Employee Networks to engage LOB employees and leaders in the Employee Networks

  • Develop communications and routines to ensure that LOB leaders and employees are informed about strategy, progress and results.

  • Build productive and trusted partnerships, internally and externally and at all levels of the organization and establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert.

  • Partner with the enterprise D&I team to deliver enterprise programs within the respective lines of business

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement/consistency that helps to drive the banks D&I agenda

  • Collaborate with D&I peers in other regions to drive consistency and share best practice and ideas as appropriate

  • Manages the diversity and inclusion budget, including annual forecasting

  • Supports the organisation in meeting diversity and inclusion regulatory requirements

  • Acts as an ambassador for diversity and inclusion both internally and externally

The Team:

The D&I  team in EMEA is responsible for defining the annual strategy and delivering against this in partnership with a line of business and various teams across the organisation, whilst providing guidance and oversight for the Employee Networks and aligning their activities to the overall strategy.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, manage collaborative partnerships and provide thought leadership

  • Experience using data to draw insights and sound decision making; confident analytical skills

  • Strategic planning, complex problem resolution and general management expertise

  • Confident communication and presentation skills

  • Capable of thinking about processes end-to-end

  • Able to quickly identify core business issues, detect and remove roadblocks and drive execution

  • Experience delivering projects for large, cross-functional audiences

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner

  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment

  • Ability to develop acumen and be a thought leader

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using SharePoint

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous Diversity & Inclusion, ESG or related HR experience

  • Previous experience working in or partnering with Global Banking, Global Markets

  • Experience designing and delivering diversity programs.

  • Financial service industry experience.
