FDCO Overview

The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming confirmations. 
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading and Trade Control to ensure proper trade terms are captured on confirmations
  • Identify discrepancies, preform all necessary investigation, and resolve disputes relating to the confirmation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure timely execution of confirmations
  • Responsible for reporting daily confirmations metrics
  • Work in conjunction with team members to develop and maintain globally consistent documentation process
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Responsible for various projects and cross asset reviews for complex trades

Enterprise Role Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel (macros, v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Reporting experience
  • Analytical skills & acute attention to detail
  • Must be client focused with proven track record of excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and task with minimal oversight and supervision
  • Display the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a dynamic, fast pace environment
  • Maintain highest level of professional and ethical standards

Desired Skills:

  • Experience trade control, confirmation and settlements processes
  • Previous experience with drafting and reviewing confirmations preferable but not required
