ETS Solutions Architect

Job Description:

Position Summary

The Solution Engineer role is a key technology leader in the Enterprise Card Issuance technology team who is relied on to architect the future state of Card Issuance technology and lay the foundation of key functionality development teams can build off of.  The Solution Engineer is accountable for the creation and development of technology solutions appropriate to business needs and objectives, and oversees implementation of key technology enablers.  The ideal candidate stays abreast of latest technology developments and brings forth best practices to incorporate into roadmap for the Enterprise Card Issuance portfolio.  They will design and develop technology solution leveraging innovative cutting edge components that align to the target state roadmap.  The role is heavily involved in the coordination of translating business strategy into work programs and processes down to the development level.

Required Skills

  • The role requires strong technical skills and a background of successfully developing and delivering technology solutions
  • Must have the ability to provide technical leadership as a proactive and strategic business partner in the development of functional or cross-functional objectives, technology solutions and innovative strategies for groups managed in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated business objectives.
  • Recent relevant hands on design and development experience with: J2EE, Spring, REACT, GIT-Jenkins (for CICD), REST Web Services, MicroServices solutions, Kubernetes, Docker Technology is critical for success in the role.

Desired Skills

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal, written and presentation
  • Previous hands on development experience and an understanding of modern architectural concepts & tools
  • Experience with creating innovative solution options in support of both business and technology modernization objectives
  • Experience developing business cases and quantifying ROI
  • Experience working within an Agile(Scrum, Kaban and/or SAFE) construct and applying Agile methodologies and tools to manage and deliver technology projects/solutions
  • Process Design and Project Estimations
  • Able to read or experience with AS400 iSeries RPG code
