Job Description:

Organization: Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) within Global Market Operations provides trade & lifecycle event processing across the business lines supported while striving for globally consistent processes and strong supervision.

Job description: This role will support futures, equity options and non-financial regulatory reporting across the Americas region. AMRS ETD Operations provides support for the CME Group, ICE US, Montreal, OCC and several additional exchanges within the AMRS region.

General Responsibilities:

  • Process option exercise and assignments, physical deliveries, expirations, last trade date monitoring, long date reporting, open interest adjustments and regulator inquires.
  • Assist with improving controls associated with lifecycle event processing.
  • Assist with the development and automation of various metrics utilized for management reporting.
  • Assist with various initiatives impacting the lifecycle event processing team.
  • Work with different teams to standardize processes and streamline functions.
  • Provide assistance to senior management with various initiatives and asks.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • 3-5 years' experience in futures operations (futures & options contract servicing) and equity options.
  • Knowledge of industry rules, regulations and business practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail oriented and effective time management skills.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, critical and quantitative thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace, high volume environment and continuously multi-task.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to assess risk, implement controls and streamline existing processes.
  • Ability to problem solve, outline and propose tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • GMI query writing and navigation skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
