The Senior Operations Consultant role sits within the COO Function and will partner with the Program Executive, SLT, Process Automation Operations, Technology and Change Teams, and other stakeholders across the enterprise to provide support to ensure efficient and effective program execution and reporting / communication. This position requires strong relationship management skills to interact with senior leadership, managers, and staff throughout the organization to deliver against organizational priorities. The Senior Operations Consultant recommends policy and procedural changes and develops measurement criteria and project plans including cost and resource estimates.

Responsibilities:

  •  Partner with program Executive and SLT to ensure progress towards long-term goals
  •  Accountable for process improvement, analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches, and facilitating implementation
  •  Leads in the design, development and implementation of complex products, systems and services in an operations environment
  •  Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives of an operations nature
  •  Functions as the technical expert in their assigned area, and clearly recognized as a content expert by peers
  •  Provides work direction, guidance and expertise to less experienced associates and provides training to associates and Business Partners on new and complex initiatives
  •  Manage Executive and Project Reporting throughout project lifecycle to ensure transparency as well as timely and effective communication to key stakeholders related to program performance (Status, Progress, ROI, Risks, issues) across the full portfolio of initiatives
  •  Understand how different projects interlink and overlap, identify risks, issues and dependencies and partner with teams across the enterprise to drive decisions
  •  Identifying and managing operational excellence opportunities across a wide variety of processes
  •  Ensures consistent practices around key processes

  • Requirements:
  •  5-7 years of project consulting experience, particularly engaging with Executive level stakeholders
  •  Experience working on large scale, complex initiatives
  •  Experience with implementation of emerging technology and related process redesign
  •  Demonstrates commitment to excellence by anticipating needs, mitigating risks, and minimizing potential problems
  •  Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  •  Strong financial management and organizational skills
  •  Ability to manage a project or phases of a project in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  •  Ability to facilitate meetings, capture key outcomes / actions and own project / process documentation
  •  Exceptional analytical skills with ability to comprehend, document, evaluate and improve complex business processes
  •  Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision
  •  Effectively deals with ambiguity and adapts to changing circumstances
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with ability to analyze data, distill key data points, and effectively present information

Preferred Skills:

  •  Experience in change management and utilizing agile methodologies and techniques
  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  •  Project management certification
