Your background

o Knowledge of the Client Assets rules or other regulatory. This role would be suitable for an individual with experience in a Risk function, or an operations line function with experience of risk, regulation and/or control
o Knowledge of Futures & Options and custody services and other the products that give rise to client money and assets and the associated operational processes. 
o Experience in working with internal stakeholders such as Operations line teams, Compliance, Legal, Finance
o Good interpersonal skills and partners well with others, is a team-player
o Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
o Good verbal and written communication of complex issues

What you can expect

The Client Assets Control Group’s primary objective in APAC is to ensure compliance with the Client Asset rules within the various APAC jurisdictions. The Associate will form a key part of the team which provides oversight of Client Asset protection front to back across the organization.
This is a dynamic role which offers a lot of variety in the day to day workload. Joining this team will provide fantastic learning and growth potential for the successful candidate within an innovative and dynamic team in an area that is of great business importance. A working knowledge of the Client Assets rules would be beneficial but is not a requisite for a role that offers regular interaction with internal contacts servicing various jurisdictions and legal entities across the APAC region.

What you will do

This is an opportunity within the APAC Client Assets Control Group (CACG), within Global Markets Operations. CACG are a global team which provide oversight of BofA’s customer protection regulatory requirements. This role supports the Client Asset Oversight executive and regional Operations executives, as well as the wider Global CACG team, and involves liaising with counterparts in both EMEA and AMRS due to the legal entity affiliate structure of BofA.

Within this role the candidate will act as a subject matter expert on client asset regulations and have overall responsibility for managing regulatory reviews, advising core lines of business on client asset impact, incident management, governance reporting and risk routines for relevant BofA APAC legal entities.

This role offers high-level interaction with internal stakeholders at various levels across the organization, regulatory bodies and external auditors, and would be suitable for an individual with proven experience in client asset regulations/risk function and knowledge of complex product lines in a large investment bank.
