Job Description

As an Analyst/Associate in the Shareholder Activism and Raid Defense team you will:

  • Create client presentations regarding hostile M&A activity, shareholder activism and corporate governance issues
  • Play a key role supporting live defense situations
  • Assist clients prepare for hostile activity
  • Create materials for internal meetings and marketing initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating information flow and execution with industry groups
  • Support the expansion BofA Securities’ activism and raid defense business, a growth initiative for the bank
  • Serve as a key resource working closely with VP’s, Directors and RMs to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests

Qualifications

  • 1-3 year of prior work experience for analysts and 2-4 years of prior work experience at a top-tier firm (or graduate degree) for associates
  • Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic qualifications
  • Professional maturity and experience to interact with senior bankers
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and high energy
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, and team focus
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
