Job Description:

Equity Allocations Associate for Institutional Trading

The position is responsible for providing superior customer service for both the underlying customer base and sales force, in support of Bank of America’s global business strategies. Responsibilities include timely and accurate allocation and confirmation of Global Equities. The associate will need to establish a strong working partnership with the customer base and sales force, supporting strategic initiatives to increase same day allocation and STP rates. It is critical that the associate be detail oriented in monitoring and controlling exposure to the bank and our clients.  

Enterprise Role Overview:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations support function for one or more operations product areas. Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills include: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and a basic understanding of and/or experience in financial service industry. Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis on establishing and maintaining quality control procedures, and effectively liaison with external and internal parties, clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate under high pressure situations.
  • Strong PC and Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Access, etc.). 
  • Interpersonal skills must be very strong and team player. 
  • Must have a keen ability to efficiently manage time and priorities.
  • Must be able to bring proactive and innovative business processing solutions to completion within deadlines and with minimal risk to the organization

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced Excel knowledge (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Prior equities experience.
