US Asset Services Control is part of GOSO (Global Operations Shared Operations) providing vital day to day support for the Global Asset Services organization in a dynamic fast paced environment. US Asset Services Control provides support through generation of management reporting, ensuring adherence to key controls and supporting process enhancements.

In this role team members liaise with associates at all levels through oversight of data integrity performing root cause analysis and trend tracking where strong written and verbal communications are critical to delivering effective results. To be successful in this role the candidate must be self-motivated within a diverse environment who strives with ambition to mitigate the potential of risk. US Asset Services Control associates focus on continuous improvement with a control consciousness in an audit ready environment.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the daily operations of Global Asset Services.  In this role associates are expected to focus on mitigating risk through the management of Global Asset Services functions in relation to oversight of global economic sanctions in relation to Corporate Actions events. Additional oversight responsibilities may include regulatory reporting, quality assurance testing, and performing day to day functions. Associates are also responsible for developing and enhancing departmental procedures ensuring accuracy in processing.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations support function for one or more operations product areas. Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills include: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and a basic understanding of and/or experience in financial service industry. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word & PowerPoint with working knowledge of Visio.
  • Demonstrates analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable in an environment with a heavy focus on details and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm with diverse experiences and backgrounds.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced in control functions (i.e. managing risk, quality assurance testing, regulatory reporting & compiling procedural documentation).
  • Experienced in project management (i.e. meet deliverables, manage risk, critical thinking, communication, coaching & manage meetings).
  • Understanding of economic sanctions.
  • Knowledge of Global Markets Shared Operations a plus.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • College degree preferred.
