Process Overview

The Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across Global Markets Technology. The group works closely with the business and provides application support. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. MAPS has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.

Job Description

The individual will be part of MAPS Securities as L2 Production support team member and will be responsible to provide technical and business support for the suite of Securities Settlements & Finance applications. Applications in Securities space handles the post-execution processing of equities and debt securities right from post trade processing, corporate actions and Settlements processing.

Responsibilities

  • Address requests and issues raised by the business users and other stake-holders within stipulated SLA
  • Address Incidents/Issues Identified through monitoring tools, email tool in a timely fashion.
  • Adhere to all the laid down Incident, Problem and Change management procedures and other policies and procedures while delivering services
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the job failures as part of the Batch Processing
  • Identify improvement opportunities - and driving the same to closure
  • Coordinate with Global MAPS, Operations, Development, L1 & Infrastructure teams to keep the application stable
  • Adhere to bank of America policies, code of ethics and deliver services in accordance with bank policies at all times – while delivering production support services
  • Support any weekend tasks or on-call if required by business

Requirements

Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/M.Sc./MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications, If Any: ITIL Foundation (Not Mandatory)

Experience Range: 4-6Yrs

Foundational skills:

  • Strong knowledge in SQL Server, Oracle (Should be able to analyze store procedures, build complex queries to troubleshoot production issues)
  • Experience in MSBI technologies (SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS))
  • Strong in Unix to support applications running in Linux platform with either Shell/Perl scripting
  • Should be comfortable working in windows and Unix servers
  • Knowledge of Autosys and ITRS Genos

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge in configuration management Tool - Ansible, Writing Ansible Playbooks using YAML.
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Knowledge of Global Markets, supporting Front Office/Middle Office/Back office applications

Work Timings: Rotational Shift (06:30 a.m. – 03.30 p.m. / 11:30 a.m. – 08:30 p.m. / 01:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.)
