Job Description:

Responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and is aware of the development practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solution and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria. Executes automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collects results and flags issues. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release. Individual contributor.

Global Banking Technology (GBT):

Leads development of the next generation of integrated banking technology solutions to drive business growth for Commercial, Corporate, Investment Banking and Global Markets clients. GBT supports Bank of America Merrill Lynch clients through the end-to-end product lifecycle, including Sales, Relationship Management, and Commercial Loan and Lease Accounting Technology as well as regulatory data and the enterprises’ Wholesale Credit Transformation effort. GBT is responsible for the technology that drives key customer interfacing product channels across Cash Management, Payments, Lockbox, Card and Trade & Supply Chain Finance and globally throughout the U.S., EMEA, APAC, Canada and LatAm regions.

Overview:

Design, develop and integrate services in large-scale distributed enterprise infrastructures (cloud). The role requires software development and application management experience.  The role requires the ability to maintain and code applications including integration using BladeLogic and

Ansible. As an application manager the engineer will be the subject matter expert for an application and coordinate its development and integration activities.  Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing efficiently. Enjoy working with mature and new technologies (open source, etc.). Working in a fast-paced, evolving, growing and dynamic environment. Excellent collaborator with strong communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • Full Stack (end-to-end) development experience needed.
  • Development experience on Java.
  • Experience working with Build tools (JIRA, Bit Bucket, Git, and Jenkins).
  • The experience with gathering requirements and ability to quickly pick up new technology concepts.
  • Experience contributing to and coordinating software development projects.
  • Ability to work independently and within a distributed global team.
  • Self-starter with good communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to learn mature and emerging data transformation tools including ability to write programming logic.
  • Experience with Application Management including coordinating work across diverse teams.
  • Knowledge with secure file transfer tools (SFTP and Connect Direct) and network technologies load balancing.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and C# using .NET and shell scripting..
  • Windows/Linux application administration.
