Capital Management - Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

The Capital Adequacy and US Legal Entity Capital Management Team is responsible for leading integrated capital management strategy, which includes both Enterprise-level and US legal entity-level capital planning and optimization. This team is responsible for the Capital Plan under CCAR, for the capital components of the Recovery and Resolution plans, and capital strategy for US banks and broker–dealer entities. The team is responsible for compiling the capital forecast and assessing capital adequacy for the internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP). The team also manages the firms’ capital allocation (TAC) strategy for allocating capital to the LOBs, aligning with Business risk appetite and strategy.

The candidate will join a dynamic environment that offers numerous opportunities to learn, grow, impact and drive changes for the Company. In particular, the candidate will:

-  Support the capital planning process for the US banks by developing regulatory capital ratio forecasts to assess capital adequacy and regulatory dividend capacity under baseline (weekly) and stress (quarterly) conditions

-  Support the daily monitoring of the Supplementary Leverage Ratio for BAC and the US banks to inform size and timing of capital actions

-  Support the monitoring of BAC actual and forecasted double leverage

-  Support the development of executive presentations to senior leadership or US regulators across the above mentioned processes

-  Develop business partnering skills and cross-functional knowledge through interactions with other capital management teams as well as Risk Management, Balance Sheet Management, Legal Entity Controllership, Corporate Planning, Global Liquidity Management, Global Stress Testing and Global Recovery & Resolution Planning

-  Gain knowledge on regulatory capital calculation and reporting regimes and their implications for BAC and the US banks        

Job Requirements

- BS/BA in Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience

- 2+ years experience in the financial industry

- Strong communication and business partnering skills

- Attention to detail is a must

- Highly motivated and enjoys taking initiative

Embraces challenges and change

- Advanced proficiency in MS office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint

- Ability to work well in a team environment

Desired Skills

- Familiarity with Basel III rules/regulation is a plus but not required

- Knowledge/understanding of CCAR requirements and processes is helpful

- Basic Excel VBA skills with specific application to process automation is a plus

- Fast learner / eager to learn
