Process Overview*

EPSG Team provides Oracle & SAP support to all the GL users across the globe incase they face any issue in GL systems. 

   

Team is responsible for performing various health checks within the system on daily basis to ensure the sanity of data flow and error remediation ASAP.

The Team provides Operational and Application Support on applications like Oracle and SAP GL . The Team provide global support.

Manage daily / monthly processing of all GL systems

Provide GL support to regional controllers

Job Description*

• To serve as an intermediary for day to day support functions of Oracle GL activities

• Provide trouble shooting for day to day issues hampering data flow between GLs

• Review errors to identify patterns /gaps and highlight the same for fixes.

• Process Escalations in accordance to documented process and follow through to closure

• Good working Knowledge on Oracle (especially General Ledger). Should be well versed on GL transactions and its flow

• Working experience on enhancement projects within Oracle                                                   

• Good understanding of Revaluation, Translation, Suspense accounting, Inter Company Accounting

• Hands-on Experience on Account Reconciliations between various subsystems

• Well versed with accounting skills and journal entries

• Provide Resolutions on the tickets raised by the Users.

• Interaction with LOB (Line of Business) on daily calls.

• Monthly metrics reporting to LOB.

• Month end & quarter close activities.

• Must be a self-motivator and a quick learner, able to work well under tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy. 

• Proven ability to work with system tools in complex environments and good understanding of GL/AP & FA modules. 

• Displays ease with communication with various business partners at all levels in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities*

• The successful candidate will be responsible for execution. managing and coordinate a multitude of Inter related Oracle operations like monitoring daily production activities for Oracle (BAU) between various internal bank systems and solving moderately complex issues.

• Implementing new projects, testing & raising defects, handling Change requests

•  Reporting issues to management and appropriate areas for resolution. 

• Serves as a seasoned/proficient technical/operational resource as well as providing strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.

• Carry out basic system configuration changes.

• Exercise compliance with Sarbanes Oxley or other audit/regulatory requirements, as well as maintain compliance with applicable SOPs

• Document functional analysis and change procedures. 

• Must be a self-motivator and a quick learner, able to work well under tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy. 

• Proven ability to work with system tools in complex environments and solid understanding of process controls. 

• Displays ease with communication with various business partners at all levels in a clear and concise
