Job Title: Senior Business Continuity Consultant  

Corporate Title: Vice President

Role Description:

Responsible for supporting all Business Continuity program deliverables (Planning, Testing, and Recovery) related to EMEA Region. Drive this annual effort to improve recoverability and resiliency across the Region portfolio of applications. Program responsibility requires tracking applications ability to perform testing while ensuring recovery strategies are documented according to standard.

Serves as the secondary contact to senior department managers within the Region and is responsible for tracking compliance and remediation strategies for any applications that are not ready to certify. Communicates, influences, and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources to complete deliverables on time. Accountable for analysing present-state of the program, developing alternative future-state approaches, and facilitating implementation. Creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control.

Responsible for ensuring responsibilities and accountability is clearly defined across each Technology team. Integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decision-making processes. Develop, maintain, and report on performance and status of all Business Continuity Deliverables for EMEA.

Team:

Global Banking & Markets (GBAM) Technology and Risk & Finance Technology (ERFT) provides end-to-end technology solutions and support for Global Banking and Global Markets businesses (includes: Equities, Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Rates, Currencies, Credit, Commodities, Structured Products, and Wholesale Banking and Research) and for Risk and Finance.

The COO team manages the overall business operations for GBAMT and ERFT, which includes the following functions:

-              Financial Management

-              Resource Management

-              Risk Management

-              Portfolio Management

-              People Strategy

-              Reporting and Analytics

Core Skills:

Responsibilities include:

  • Construct and manage governance routines to connect program and remediation projects across multiple businesses while ensuring leaders have transparency into these projects
  • Strong business centric mind-set with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes
  • Lead and manage a large program and various line of business projects to completion
  • Build and manage effective program management oversight and governance routines
  • Strong understanding of banking application environments and the ability to think broadly across multiple organizations to ensure inclusion of all sub-lines of businesses, geographical regions and support functions, etc.
