Quantitative Services Senior Professional - PMO

Job Description:

Quantitative Services (QS) is a resource pool managed within GBAM OPS Shared Operations (GOSO) providing support to many different areas of the Bank such as Front Office, Market Risk, Corporate Treasury, Finance and Operations. QS is a sub-specialty within GOSO focusing on development and operation of processes with a high degree of quantitative analysis, data management or technology development.  QS consists of Business As Usual (BAU) and Initiative teams, both of which help drive improved processes, process automation, strategic infrastructure adoption and operational efficiencies by leveraging innovative techniques and quantitative solutions. Our BAU processes are for Trading Systems Reconciliation and Controls (Quartz), Market Risk Data Quality (DQ), Uncleared Margin DQ and Disputes, Approved Product Control and Client Valuations. Within these processes we seek to optimize all manner of control and execution via process improvements, process automation and advanced Management Information Systems. We use our BAU as experimental areas for techniques we can apply to other areas and hence require people dedicated to change, challenge and continuous improvement. We can also use our BAU resource to assist other Operational areas if needed. The QS group covers all lines of business across the globe and has a significant footprint in India. The location is Chicago but location is not fixed.

The Role is PMO Lead:
PMO role is to support the PMO function a within Quantitative Services (QS) group. QS PMO team works to standardise and assist the managing and delivery of all QS process and activities.  he responsibilities are to provide Programme Management within Quantitative Services team, drive delivery of milestones in individual roadmaps against critical path while ensuring that appropriate governance processes, escalation paths and project management reporting frameworks are in place, responsible for tracking project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.

Qualifications:

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of data sciences, Risk Management, Financial Markets, Products and process flows within a Banking and Capital markets organisation.
• 5+ years prior project management experience with specific experience with large Portfolios/Programs.
• Leadership skills and proven experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable engaging with individuals across the organization.
• Strong decision making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style.
• Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow up skills and ability to escalate and gain resolutions as needed.
• Strong organization skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize.
• Keen attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
